NCAA Hockey Tournament Odds: Quinnipiac, Boston College Among Favorites

Sixteen teams begin their quest for college hockey’s biggest prize this weekend when the NCAA Division 1 men’s tournament gets underway.

The action commences Friday with four New England teams playing first-round games: Boston College, Harvard, Northeastern and defending champion Providence.

Providence has the seventh-best odds at 19-2 to win the tournament and repeat as champions. The last school to win back-to-back titles was the University of Denver in 2004 and 2005.

Quinnipiac, the No. 1 seed in the East region, is the favorite to win the championship at 13-2. The Bobcats last reached the national championship game in 2013, when they lost to Yale.
