Fantasy Football Rankings: Colts Players You Should Draft, Avoid This Season

The Indianapolis Colts missed the playoffs for the first time since 2011 last season after losing superstar quarterback Andrew Luck to an injury, but they still have plenty of good fantasy football options.

So let’s take a look at some Colts players you should draft, avoid and even one sleeper for your fantasy team.

DRAFT-WORTHY
Andrew Luck, Quarterback: Luck owners probably had a rough fantasy season last year as injuries limited him to only seven games. But nothing should keep you from drafting Luck if you have the chance. He’s already one of the best quarterbacks in the league, as evidenced by his 40 touchdown passes in 2014. He likely will be one of the top five quarterbacks picked, meaning you’ll have to draft him around Round 4.

Frank Gore, Running Back: The Colts are pretty thin at running back and probably will rely heavily on Gore. He recorded 967 yards with six touchdowns on the ground in his first season with the Colts. He’s not an elite, No. 1 fantasy running back, but he could be a good second option around the middle of your draft.

T.Y. Hilton, Wide Receiver: Hilton has a lot of potential, and he’s worth a pick around the third round as Luck’s No. 1 target. He’s never had more than seven receiving touchdowns, but he’s reached at least 1,000 yards in each of the last three seasons.

Donte Moncrief, Wide Receiver: Moncrief emerged as the Colts’ No. 2 receiver last season with 733 receiving yards and six touchdowns on 64 receptions. He could be a valuable depth piece to your wideout fantasy corps if you draft him in the middle rounds.

Adam Vinatieri, Kicker: Vinatieri still is one of the best kickers in the game. He made 92.6 percent of his field goals and produced a total of 107 points in 2015. If you’re going to draft a kicker in one of the later rounds, Vinatieri is a solid choice.

AVOID
Dwayne Allen, Tight End: Allen had 109 yards and one touchdown last season. You definitely should look elsewhere for your fantasy tight end.

SLEEPER
Josh Ferguson, Running Back: Ferguson went undrafted, and he likely won’t be drafted in your fantasy leagues, either. But he might be worth a pick late or a look on the waiver wire, as the Colts already have high expectations for him.
