NBA Odds: Celtics Pegged As Betting Underdogs On Road Vs. Utah Jazz

The Boston Celtics will be aiming to complete the sweep on their current four-game road trip when they travel to Utah on Wednesday to take on the Jazz as 6.5-point underdogs on the NBA odds at sportsbooks monitored by OddsShark.com.

Boston remained unbeaten during its West Coast swing after claiming a hard-fought 102-94 win in Phoenix as 10-point chalk Monday, and the C’s take a four-game straight-up win streak into Wednesday’s Celtics vs. Jazz betting matchup at Vivint Smart Home Arena.

The Celtics’ surge comes on the heels of a shaky 3-4 SU run and improves their league-leading SU road record to 27-10. The club has played solid defense during their current win streak, surrendering just 96.25 points per game, and has seen the point total finish UNDER in five of six outings. The Celtics also have avoided consecutive losses against the spread while covering in 11 of their last 15 outings.

Boston is also getting the job done without Kyrie Irving, who likely remains sidelined for the remainder of the regular season with a knee injury, compiling a 10-4 SU record this season without the five-time All-Star in the lineup.

The Jazz return home fresh off a 110-91 victory over the Golden State Warriors as 9-point road favorites. With the win, the Jazz put the brakes on a four-game ATS slide, but have failed to record consecutive SU wins over their past four contests.

Despite their recent shaky run, which includes a stunning 99-94 loss to the lowly Atlanta Hawks as 14-point home chalk on March 20, the Jazz remain solid performers on home hardwood, avoiding back-to-back losses while going 11-3 SU in their past 14, according to the OddsShark NBA Database.

However, Utah has lacked consistency at the sportsbooks, failing to cover in two straight home dates to extend a middling 7-10 ATS stretch that dates back to January 3.

The Jazz also have been largely dominated in meetings with Boston in recent years. The Celtics have posted SU wins in 11 of 14 dates with Utah since Jan. 2011, including a 4-2 SU and ATS mark in their past six visits to Salt Lake City. However, the Celtics have failed to tally consecutive road victories over their past four against the Jazz, and dropped a 107-95 decision as 4.5-point favorites when these two clubs met at TD Garden on Dec. 15.

Following Wednesday’s contest, the Celtics return home Saturday for the first of two stretch-run meetings with the Toronto Raptors. The club has dropped four of six SU to Toronto but came away with a narrow 95-94 win as a 3.5-point underdog in their last home clash on Nov. 12.
