Assabet Valley Stops Coastal Stars in Girls 10 and Under It’s TD Bank Mini 1-on-1 season once again, and the 10-and-under girls from Assabet Valley are ready for some action.

The West Concord club came out strong against the Coastal Stars of the South Shore on Thursday night at the TD Garden, handily winning a 2-0 decision and shutting out the competition.

Assabet Valley scored on its first two opportunities — once off the right post and once on a nifty backhand — while the Stars couldn’t break through against some tough goaltending, failing to score on all three opportunities.

Assabet Valley will face Newton on Nov. 1, when the Bruins take on the Rangers.
