Many Americans despised Sidney Crosby before the Olympic Games, but after the Canadian forward buried the game-winning goal in overtime on Sunday afternoon to top Team USA in the gold medal game in Vancouver, many more joined in the "Sid The Kid Hate Club."
Just four days later, Alaska native and Rangers' forward Brandon Dubinsky gave said hate club reason to cheer as he attacked Crosby during Pittsburgh's 5-4 OT win over New York.

Quote of the day
"Obviously had we gone to the Super Bowl that would have been the icing on the cake, but it was way better than even I could have dreamed of. I've told people I really believe my biggest accomplishment this year was winning over the majority of the Vikings' fans. For so many years I was hated."
–Vikings QB Brett Favre, on the Tonight Show
Comment of the day
Why hasn't this comparison between Boston's beloved second baseman and Natick's hero been made before?
"Dustin Pedroia, is the Doug Flutie of baseball. Dustin maybe small in size but he is a huge man on the field and off the field. Here is hoping Pedroia has another stand-up season, the Sox and Sox nation are counting on you and Youk this year to lead the team."
