Sean Payton Plays Prank on Cowboys Owner Jerry Jones The Saints’ Super Bowl celebration might never end.

Its most recent chapter involves head coach Sean Payton, Cowboys owner Jerry Jones and one bottle of wine.

SI.com’s Peter King detailed a story that came out of Indianapolis last week, where NFL coaches and executives were gathered for the scouting combine.

According to King, the billionaire owner requested that St. Elmo Steakhouse reserve a special bottle of wine — Caymus Special Selection cabernet sauvignon — for the Cowboys’ dinner on Saturday night. The restaurant obliged, until the Saints showed up one night earlier.

As King explains, Payton informed the waiter that he, too, would like that bottle of wine. After some deliberation (and, more than likely, a dollar bill or two exchanged), the restaurant gave the Saints’ party the bottle of wine.

After Payton and the rest of the Saints’ staff drank the bottle dry, Payton left a special message on the bottle for when Jones and the Cowboys arrived the next night:

“WHO DAT!
World Champions XLIV
Sean Payton”

A bold move, but from the man who opened the second half of the Super Bowl with an onside kick, there would be no reason to expect anything less.
