Test Your Knowledge of Famous Stolen Bases in Red Sox History If you don't know the answer to this one, it's time to turn in that Red Sox Nation membership card. Then run a lap. Then consider becoming a Yankees fan.

The setting was Fenway Park on a cold, mid-October night. The Red Sox were just a few outs from being eliminated, a promising 2004 campaign wasted. The best closer in the world, Mariano Rivera, was on the mound for the Yankees, as they were ready to sweep the hated Sox.

Then, Rivera inexplicably walked Kevin Millar on just five pitches. A pinch runner was put into the game, and after several pickoff attempts, stole second on the first pitch home. He was safe by no more than a few milliseconds. A few pitches later, Bill Mueller singled, bringing in the tying run. The Red Sox would not lose again, eventually winning their first World Series title in 86 years.

The championship was the result of the efforts of 25 players who never quit. None of it would have happened, however, if not for that stolen base.

Nearly six years later, do you remember who stole that base?
