Tom Brady Stands Up for Randy Moss and Logan Mankins Contract Complaints FOXBORO, Mass. — Tom Brady isn’t the only high-profile member of the Patriots who is looking for a contract extension, and the captain took some time Wednesday to vouch for two other guys who also have their eyes set on getting paid.

One of them, left guard Logan Mankins, is merely a ghost in Foxboro, and Brady hoped that changes.

"Logan is a great friend, and I think all of us in this locker room have to focus on what we’re doing because he hasn’t been here, and we’re all trying to get our job done," Brady said. "We’d all love Logan here. Everybody in this building would, but he’s not. We have to move on and play a game this weekend. Who knows what’s going to happen?"

Another friend of Brady's, wide receiver Randy Moss, said earlier this week that he felt unwanted by the organization. Brady, though, did everything short of singing a Whitney Houston chorus while inflecting his praise upon Moss.

"I want him," Brady said. "He knows that. I tell him every day. He’s everything we look for in a receiver. He’s been a great player for his whole career. Look at what he’s done here in terms of his productivity. Look at what he’s done this preseason in training camp. He’s been a great example, a great leader. We’re lucky to have him. We really are."
