Juan Uribe‘s clutch performances against the Philadelphia Phillies in the NLCS gave the San Francisco Giants the chance to win their first World Series title since moving to the West Coast.

Now, the utility infielder who drove in the game-winning runs in Game 4 and Game 6 against the defending NL champs, has been plucked away from the Bay Area by arch-rival Los Angeles.

According to Jon Heyman, the Dodgers have agreed to a three-year, $21 million dollar deal with Uribe — a high figure for a player who actually hit only .248 last season.

With Edgar Renteria‘s return up in the air and Uribe out of the picture, the World Series champs now find themselves in need of a shortstop. Tampa Bay’s Jason Bartlett, who is arbitration eligible, has been floated around as a potential replacement.
