Does Titans' Acquisition of Randy Moss Alter Landscape of AFC? The Randy Moss mystery on Wednesday was infinitely exciting for about 45 minutes, as Twitter was ready to explode with updates from around the country.

Then, the news came that Moss would be a Titan, and with Tennessee on its bye week, there was not much hooplah to follow.

Unfortunately, that means no wild tirades in an introductory news conference. At least for now.

But, with Moss having some time to learn Jeff Fisher's system and get acquainted with Kerry Collins and Vince Young, you have to wonder how the move will affect the AFC?

It's no secret that the NFL is wide open this year, and the Titans, sitting at 5-3 and just a shade behind the 5-2 Colts for first place in the AFC South, clearly acquired the Hall of Fame wideout with an intention of using him to help win a Super Bowl.

Can they?

The Titans have arguably the best back in football in Chris Johnson, who's third in the league in rushing yards and first with eight touchdowns. Young has been more reliable than in past years, and he boasts a respectable 9-2 touchdown-to-interception ratio.

The defense has been middle of the pack in terms of yards allowed, but it's giving up just 18.8 points per game (ninth in the NFL). The Titans are also second in the league with 13 interceptions.

Clearly, the Titans who went 0-6 to start the '09 season are gone, and the team that won eight of its last 10 games to end the season and five of the first eight to start this one is a better indication of what Tennessee is capable of.

How do you think the addition of Moss will affect the Titans. Share your thoughts below.
