Patriots Ranked No. 1 in Peter King's 'Fine Fifteen' After Win Over Vikings The best record isn't always an indication of being the best team, but it's enough for Sports Illustrated's Peter King.

In his weekly Monday Morning Quarterback story, King ranked the Patriots as the best team in the NFL in his "Fine Fifteen" rankings, overtaking the Steelers.

"Adrian Peterson found out Sunday it might not be so easy to try to make a season-saving yard against the Patriots defensive front, which looked absolutely impenetrable for stretches against the Vikes," King wrote.

King's top-five teams are all from the AFC, with Pittsburgh at No. 2, Baltimore at No. 3, the Jets at No. 4 and Indianapolis at No. 5. The Patriots have beaten Baltimore, they've lost to the Jets and they'll play both Pittsburgh and Indy later this season, so there's obviously a long way to go in the battle for NFL supremacy.
