There is still basketball to be played, but after a crazy weekend of college hoops, just about all of the brackets in NESN’s Bracket Challenge have been busted — except for Tom Caron.
He was the only contestant to have correctly predicted one of the Final Four teams by taking UConn to make it to Houston. In fact, he still has a chance to grow his lead as he has Kemba Walker and Jim Calhoun‘s Huskies winning it all.
VCU’s win over Kansas helped seal it for TC, as well. Patriots reporter Jeff Howe, who was the leader heading into the weekend, saw his Final Four teams eliminated. There was a still a glimmer of hope for him, though, as he had Kansas reaching the Final Four. TC had that as well, but Howe had the Jayhawks reaching the national championship. If that were to happen, paired with a UConn loss in the national semifinals, things would get interesting. VCU, though, prevailed.
