How Many Games Will the Red Sox Win at Fenway Park This Season? It’s been a frustrating start for the Red Sox this season to say the least, but with 151 games remaining in the regular season, Boston still has plenty of time to turn things around.

The Red Sox’ two wins this season have come within the friendly confines of Fenway Park, a place where they’ve had great success in front of their passionate fans in the past. The Sox have won at least 50 home games in six of the last 10 seasons, but how many games will they win at home this season?

As of Wednesday, the Sox have 75 home games left. Although it’s mathematically possible, it’s going to be pretty tough to catch the 1961 Yankees’ MLB record of 65 home wins. But who’s to say the Sox can’t flirt with another 56-win season — a feat they achieved twice without Carl Crawford and Adrian Gonzalez in the 2008 and 2009 seasons.

Boston also happened to win 50-plus home games in both World Series championship seasons, posting 55 wins at home in 2004 and 51 in 2007.

If the Sox don’t pick up their pace, however, they could be looking at a number far fewer than 50. The Red Sox haven’t won less than 40 home games since the 1997 season.
