How Many Games Will the Celtics-Heat Series Go? On paper, the Boston Celtics and Miami Heat are two evenly matched teams. When they kicked off the NBA season by playing each other on opening night, it seemed like it would only be a matter of time before they saw each other in the NBA playoffs. Sure enough, the time has come.

The Celtics have struggled to close out their opponents in recent playoff runs, but they made quick work of the Knicks in the first round, sweeping them right out of the playoffs.

The Miami Heat’s first round playoff series with the Philadelphia 76ers was the first playoff series of their Big Three era. While the Sixers managed to win a game, the Heat appeared to be in control throughout as the clearly more talented team.

But this series is different for both teams. On a collision course since LeBron James and Chris Bosh decided to take their talents to South Beach, it will be a matter of the Celtics’ veterans trying to deny Miami’s two new superstars of their first NBA rings.

The Heat faced a lot of scrutiny at times throughout the regular season for not playing up to their potential, and many wonder how they’ll fare against the experienced Celtics bunch.

It should be a great series no matter who comes out on top. But will it need to go to a deciding Game 7 in order to figure out who that team is?
