Report: Doc Rivers Agrees to Five-Year Contract With Boston Celtics Doc Rivers is coming back to Boston next year. And the year after that. And another three for good measure.

The Celtics' coach agreed to a five-year contract on Friday, according to CSNNE.com. Celtics president Danny Ainge told CSNNE's Greg Dickerson that the two sides agreed to the deal.

The report did not disclose terms of the agreement, though it speculates it'll pay Rivers about $6 million per season.

Rivers indicated Wednesday night after the Celtics were eliminated from the playoffs that he would proably return to the Celtics next year. After the 2010 season, Rivers seriously contemplated leaving the team to spend more time with his family.
