How Confident Are You That Bruins Will Force Game 7? If there’s one thing that’s become abundantly clear throughout the 2011 postseason, it’s that momentum means nothing and anything can happen.

The Bruins have seen the highest of highs and the lowest of lows in their quest for the Cup, yet they’re still fighting. They now face elimination for the third time this postseason, although it’s now a game earlier than they’re used to.

The B’s are 2-0 in elimination games, both of which were Games 7’s on their home ice. They defeated the Montreal Canadiens in seven games in the first round and the Tampa Bay Lightning in seven games in the Eastern Conference Final.

But now the B’s will need to win two in a row, including one on the road, if they want to be the team hoisting Lord Stanley at season’s end. The first leg of that journey will take place on Monday night at the TD Garden, where the Bruins will look to rebound from a 1-0 Game 5 loss.

The Bruins and Canucks have developed some hatred for each other over the course of this Cup Final, so Game 6 should be the most intense game we’ve seen thus far. If the B’s don’t play desperate hockey, they’ll risk watching the Canucks celebrate on Boston ice in front of the Garden faithful. But if they can put together an effort similar to the ones they turned in during Games 2 and 3 at the Garden, we could be looking at a winner-take-all Game 7 in Vancouver on Wednesday night.

It all comes down to this. It’s win or go home.
