Report: Kevin Garnett 'All Bark and No Bite,' According to NBA PlayersKevin Garnett‘s Christmas Day altercation with the Knicks’ Bill Walker has had some questioning the Celtics forward’s antics. But perhaps the incident is just building upon a reputation that he’s already established across the NBA.

ESPN basketball analyst Chris Broussard appeared on WEEI’s The Big Show on Tuesday to discuss the Celtics and the NBA season. Garnett’s season-opening skirmish with Walker was among the topics Broussard discussed, and he revealed that some NBA players aren’t exactly thrilled with the way KG has acted in the past.

“Around the league, there’s just a feeling that KG is all bark and no bite,” Broussard said. “Everybody respects his game, no question about that, but in terms of the extracurricular stuff, if you will, picking on guys, guys feel like he picks and chooses who he’ll pick on.”

Garnett’s altercation with Walker came after missing a last-second shot, resulting in a 106-104 Knicks win at Madison Square Garden. Upon the miss, Garnett and Walker exchanged words, at which point KG shoved Walker — who played with the Celtics in 2008-09 and 2009-10 — in the throat. But while Garnett has been involved in some disputes in the past, Broussard notes that he and Walker’s was a bit surprising.

“Bill Walker isn’t necessarily the type of guy Garnett has gone after in the past, so I wouldn’t be surprised if some people were surprised he actually went at Walker,” Broussard said, “but a lot of guys feel like he’ll only go after a few certain type of guys and won’t go after anybody tough.”

Broussard also said in his conversation that the Miami Heat will win the NBA championship if they play up to their potential. So basically, whether or not Garnett’s actions are right or wrong, The Big Ticket has plenty of bulletin board material to work with going forward.
