Report: Scott Sinclair is Liverpool Transfer Target, Reds Consider Bidding For Swansea WingerLiverpool is considering making a transfer bid for Swansea winger Scott Sinclair. The Daily Mail reports the Reds are looking to sign the speedy winger, who has a reported value of around £5 million.

The news comes on the heels of Liverpool’s reported interest in Sinclair’s teammate Joe Allen. But Swansea manager Brendan Rodgers is not interested in losing any of his key players during the January transfer window.

The 22-year-old can play on either wing or as a striker. He has appeared in 21 Premier League games this season, scoring six goals and adding two assists.

Sinclair has represented England at every level from U-17 to U-21. He was on the books at Chelsea FC from 2005-2010, but failed to secure a spot in the first team at Stamford Bridge.

He joined Swansea the summer of 2010 and featured heavily in last season’s promotion campaign. His impressive performances in the top flight have led some to call for his inclusion in the England setup.

His signing would add a new dimension to the LFC attack, giving the Reds another threat in wide areas and additional speed.
