Rob Gronkowski Sheds Walking Boot, Says Ankle Improving Every DayINDIANAPOLIS — Patriots tight end Rob Gronkowski has the most popular ankle on the planet right now, and the storyline took another turn Tuesday.

Gronkowski didn't wear the walking boot during the Patriots' hour-long session of Media Day on Tuesday, and he walked to his podium without a limp. It doesn't necessarily mean he has shed the boot permanently, but it's a sign of improvement after he wore it during the Patriots' trip to Indianapolis on Sunday.

The expectation is that Gronkowski will play in the Super Bowl, but the second-year tight end wouldn't comment on anything beyond his daily rehabilitation goals. The positive news, though, is he said he's improving on a day-to-day basis.

"[I'm] feeling better every day," Gronkowski said. "That's a positive sign. You just want to keep going in the right direction. I want to be out there with the team, obviously, and help out the team, obviously. Just taking it step by step and getting better every single day."
