North Carolina State Upsets Georgetown, Advances to Sweet 16The upsets just keep coming.

The first game of the day on Sunday featured No. 11 North Carolina State and No. 3 Georgetown. Behind a balanced scoring attack, the Wolfpack clinched a 66-63 victory after Georgetown's Jason Clark airballed a potential game-tying 3-pointer at the buzzer.

Four members of NC State scored in double digits and Scott Wood hit crucial free throws down the stretch to go along with his sharpshooting (4 of 5) from behind the arc to ice the game.

Georgetown has become a frequent victim of big upsets in recent years. In 2008, the Hoyas lost to Davidson in the round of 32. In 2010, the Ohio Bobcats took down Georgetown in the very first round and in 2011 Virginia Commonwealth kicked off its Final Four run by stunning the Big East power.

In a tournament that has already seen two No. 15 seeds pull off huge first round upsets, don't be surprised if basketball fans are treated to another historic Cinderella story. NC State may have emerged as an early favorite to make such a run.
