First, it was clubhouse concerns during the end of the 2011 season. Then came new manager Bobby Valentine. And now, flashy new closer Andrew Bailey is down for a few months with a thumb injury and Josh Beckett could be joining him.
Thankfully, general manager Ben Cherington is on the case. With the regular season opener against Detroit on Thursday, Cherington and the team will be pulling it together quickly in order to answer any lingering questions.
