Vote: Was Lehigh's Win Over Duke the Most Surprising Upset? The NCAA tournament has become forever tied to the word "upset." Every season some of the best teams in the country come in expecting to make a deep tournament run, only to have their dreams squelched by a competitive but unexpected foe.

Well, upset season got into full swing in the second day of March Madness games, but which game was the most surprising?

There was Virginia Commonwealth winning out over Wichita State in a five- and 12-seed match up that screamed upset. The Rams have become synonymous with unexpected wins since their run to the Final Four last year.

Colorado took down UNLV 68-64 on the first day, making the Runnin' Rebels' attempt at bringing glory back to Las Vegas a short-lived dream.

One of the biggest upsets in recent memory came on Friday, as Lehigh took down Duke without mercy. The Blue Devils were considered to be serious contenders before the Mountain Hawks showed what they are capable of.

In true bracket-buster fashion, Missouri fell to Norfolk State early Friday afternoon and was the first two seed to drop out.

After a somewhat mediocre postseason run to a five seed, Temple was sent home by 12th-seeded South Florida with a 58-44 beat down.

Finally, Ohio brought its "A" game and started its tournament run with a 65-60 upset of fourth-seeded Michigan.

Each game seems to have its own personality, and while many of them didn't have that buzzer-beater intensity, the thrill is seeing an unexpected team finish on top makes it just as good. With plenty more upsets undoubtedly coming in the next few days and weeks, the end of the second round is a good time to stop and reflect on all the dreams that could have been.

The high seeds that took an early exit will have to watch the games on television like the rest of us while the underrated teams that took them down continue playing. But which team joining us on the couch is doing so in the most surprising fashion?

Vote in the poll below.
