Yankees Catcher Francisco Cervelli Leaves Game After Getting Hit in Head With Pitch

TAMPA, Fla. — Yankees catcher
Francisco Cervelli has left New York's game against the Toronto Blue
Jays with a concussion after being hit in the helmet by a pitch during
the third inning.

Cervelli was the designated hitter
Saturday. He was able to walk off the field after being hit by Zech
Zinicola
's pitch. He was taken to a hospital for a precautionary CT
scan.

Cervelli will replace Jose Molina as
the backup to Yankees starting catcher Jorge Posada. Molina signed with
Toronto in the offseason.
