NEW YORK — Knicks forward Al Harrington will have arthroscopic surgery on his right shoulder and the expected recovery time is three to four months.

The team announced Wednesday that Harrington would have the surgery Thursday, performed by team orthopedist Dr. Answorth Allen.

Harrington averaged 17.7 points in 72 games this season, mostly as a reserve. He will become a free agent this summer and it's unknown if the Knicks will attempt to re-sign the 11-year veteran.
