Two-time snowboarding Olympic gold medalist Shaun White is taking his act to Boston.
Also known as "The Flying Tomato," White will compete at the Dew Tour's Skate Open from June 25-26 at the TD Garden.
White owns several X Games medals in skateboarding and plans to compete in the skate vert event at the Skate Open.
"Winning my second gold medal at the Olympics was unbelievable, and I’m excited to get back to skateboarding," White said in a press release from Alli, the Alliance of Action Sports, which is promoting the event. "After taking a year off, the Dew Tour’s Skate Open is the perfect place for me to kick off my summer of skating."
Other skateboarders competing in the event include Bob Burnquist, Bucky Lasek, Ryan Sheckler, Paul Rodriguez, and Andy Macdonald, who grew up in Boston.
Tickets for the event went on sale Monday.
