Quickly becoming a YouTube sensation, a Brazilian baby dancing the samba on the kitchen table is just another example of how the South American country is growing its supporters young. Before this little guy can form full sentences, he has mastered the artful language of dance — and not just any dance, but the national dance of Brazil.
As the World Cup generates national pride among the residents of all 32 countries participating, not even the infants are immune to the infectious effect the international tournament has. The United States doesn’t have a World Cup song and doesn’t have a national dance. A nation enthralled with online videos, America could use a little pick-me-up, especially to showcase its national identity to the soccer world.
