The Yankees may want Royals closer Joakim Soria, but Soria doesn’t seem to want the Yankees.

The first-place Yankees are one of six teams on Soria’s no-trade list, a source told ESPN.com.

But even if Soria did want to play for the Yankees, GM Brian Cashman would have to find a way to pry the two-time All-Star reliever away from Kansas City.

The Yankees have reportedly been interested in Soria as a replacement for current setup man Joba Chamberlain, who has a 5.95 ERA in 43 appearances in 2010.

Soria has a 2.25 ERA and is second in the AL with 27 saves. He would help solidify a Yankees bullpen that, besides future Hall of Fame closer Mariano Rivera, has been somewhat shaky. Yankees relievers have a 4.04 ERA in 2010, 16th in the major leagues.
