JUPITER, Fla. — Marlins outfielder Mike Stanton says he expects to miss about two weeks because of a strained right quadriceps.

Stanton was hurt Sunday in Florida's exhibition opener, pulling up while running out a ground ball. The Marlins said they plan to reevaluate him by Thursday.

Stanton is Florida's projected opening-day cleanup hitter. Stanton hit a two-run homer Sunday in his first appearance of spring training, then strained the muscle in his second at-bat.
