Nadal's sixth French Open victory ties Bjorn Borg for most all time, and with the win, Nadal becomes the second youngest man to win 10 Grand Slam titles, behind only Borg.
To set up a showdown with Nadal, Federer had defeated Novak Djokovic in the semifinals, snapping Djokovic's 43-match winning streak, but he could not continue his success in the final.
