More than 175 Red Sox fans turned out last month at the first-ever Red Sox TweetUp, testing their Boston knowledge for a chance to get their hands on a slew of prizes autographed by members of the Sox.
Now for the encore, fans will need to do more than just answer questions about the team — they'll have to look the part, too.
The main event at the second Red Sox TweetUp will be a costume contest, where pairs of fans must put on their best impersonations of NESN commentators Don Orsillo and Jerry Remy.
No fan will be allowed in without a costume, and the best-dressed pair will win a trip to see the Sox and Phillies play the following day in Philadelphia, including a limo ride from Boston to Citizens Bank Park and the chance to meet Orsillo, Remy and Heidi Watney at the stadium.
A sign of appreciation from the Red Sox organization to its Twitter followers — or "Tweeps" — the TweetUp will be held on June 29 at Remy's Sports Bar & Grill on Boylston Street.
Admission is free for all @RedSox followers. Capacity is limited but fans will be admitted on a first come, first serve basis.
In addition to the costume contest, the event will also include Red Sox trivia and prizes including autographed and game-used memorabilia.
Prizes given away at last month's TweetUp included a Kevin Youkilis signed bat, an Adrian Gonzalez signed jersey and a baseball autographed by J.D. Drew.
