To the untrained eye, Joe and Shawn Thornton might appear to be related.

They both have the same last name and they both play hockey. Would it surprise you if the NHL had its own set of Gronkowski's?

But those who follow the Bruins know better, and Joe is just another guy on the ice when the San Jose Sharks visit the Garden. Except for, you know, all that time he spent playing for Boston.
