Taylor Hall Claims Twitter Account Was Hacked After Sending Out Vulgar Anti-Edmonton Tweet

Taylor Hall is off to a hot start this season with the Edmonton Oilers, putting up 2-5-7 totals in seven games. But he found himself in some hot water on Wednesday due to a questionable tweet.

Hall, who Bruins fans will remember as the first pick in the 2011 draft ahead of Tyler Seguin, claims his Twitter account was hacked into after a vulgar anti-Edmonton Oilers tweet was sent out but then quickly deleted.

"Someone hacked my account," the young winger clarified. "I would never say something like that."

The offending tweet, which lives on in retweets by other users, read in part, "f— the oilers I'm going to the flames" and included the hashtag "#oilersfansaretheworst."

Hall, who is not in fact going to the Flames, seems to be in good spirits in the aftermath. In his apology tweet, he closed, "Always grateful for Oiler fans" and made sure to indicate his improved security: "#changedpassword."
