Terry Francona might not manage next season, but there's a chance he'll still be very much involved with the game of baseball in 2012.
FOX Sports spokesman Dan Bell reportedly told SI.com's Richard Deitsch that the network is trying to add the former Red Sox skipper to its team for next season.
"We are talking to Terry Francona and our hope is for him to join our coverage next season," Bell said.
Francona, of course, filled in for Tim McCarver during FOX's coverage of the ALCS this past season. He provided a unique perspective and solid analysis as an ex-manager, which drew rave reviews from many.
There's always a chance Francona could get back in the dugout, but either way, it's good to know Francona will still be around the game.
