Now, now, not everybody all jump at once.
Manny Ramirez, who retired in April rather than serve a 100-game suspension for his second positive drug test, wants back in, ESPN reports. The 12-time All-Star and former Red Sox left fielder would have to sign a contract before he can begin serving his suspension.
"If any team wants to sign me, I would play," Ramirez reportedly told Enrique Rojas. "If no one does, I would look to play in Japan or any other place. I was not prepared for retirement."
Ramirez played five games with the Tampa Bay Rays last season, retiring after 19 seasons with a .312 batting average, 555 home runs and 1,831 runs batted in.
Ramirez hasn't run afoul of just the MLB. He faces charges in Florida for a domestic incident.
