David Ortiz wasn't sure whether or not he had a future with the Red Sox as this offseason passed by. When it came down to it, though, the veteran slugger and the club came to terms on a new deal.
Now, Ortiz is back in Red Sox camp for his 10th season with Boston looking to build on an impressive 2011 campaign.
He'll drop by Red Sox Live From Fort Myers Presented by Jordan's Furniture on Friday night at 6 p.m. to talk about the limbo he was in this winter and look ahead to what he hopes will be another productive season.
Also joining TC and Peter will be catcher Ryan Lavarnway. The young backstop got his first taste of the majors last season, and there are those who feel that the Yale product could be back in the bigs for good at some point this season.
The sluggers will also give the Jordan's Shootout a try, but they'll have their hands full trying to best an incredible effort on Thursday night from outfielder Darnell McDonald.
