Jon Lester spoke with the media earlier this week and expressed a desire to become more of a leader for the Red Sox pitching staff this year.
He’ll talk further about his expectations and a lot more when he joins Tom Caron and Peter Gammons on Tuesday night on Red Sox Live From Fort Myers Presented by Jordan’s Furniture on NESN at 6 p.m.
In addition, Kevin Youkilis will join TC and Peter to talk about his attempt to bounce back after a season in which injuries played a role in the third baseman’s average dropping below .300.
Lester and Youkilis will also get their shot at the Jordan’s Shootout where they will look to best the leader in the clubhouse, Clay Buchholz, who posted an 18 on Monday night.
Sox fans will also get to hear from a pair of new players, as both Ryan Sweeney and Cody Ross have arrived at the Fort. General manager Ben Cherington and pitcher Daisuke Matsuzaka also spoke with reporters on Tuesday, and you’ll be able to hear what they had to say beginning at 7 on NESN.
