Bobby Valentine Slaps Matt Albers Across the Face During Mound Visit (Animation)

Bobby Valentine used a unique motivational tactic to get Matt Albers focused during Friday night’s game.

During a visit to the mound in the bottom of the seventh inning, Valentine slapped Albers (lightly) across the face before turning and heading back to the dugout.

It appears to have worked, too, since Albers struck out the next batter he faced on three pitches. See the slap below in this animation.
