Nobody ever wants to get Tommy John surgery, but it’s increasingly the reality for many major league pitchers.

Dodgers reliever Todd Coffey underwent the procedure recently, but seemed to feel positively enough about it that he tweeted a picture of the aftermath from surgery. To give some perspective, here’s what his elbow looked like before the surgery, compared the “after” photo below.
