Tim Tebow Goes From Blocking to Throwing, Promptly Gets His Receiver Injured (Video)

Tim Tebow
enthusiasts have been calling for the Jets' No. 15 to take over at quarterback since the moment he was signed by New York.

On Sunday, Tebow finally spelled Mark Sanchez for the first time. At first he just came into the game with Sanchez under center, lining up out wide and blocking the 49ers' Aldon Smith on one play and Ahmad Brooks on another as Sanchez worked away.

But then Tebow got his first chance to pass, and boy, was it a doozy.

Tebow stepped up deftly, evading a rush, and dumped a pass over the middle. Just one problem — his receiver, Dedrick Epps, wasn't prepared to, er, protect himself after making the reception.

Epps fell down with a painful injury, coughing up the ball and spurring a San Francisco recovery.

And so continues the legend of Tebow, the player whose supposedly unmatchable potential always ends up playing out in some pretty strange moments.
