Report: Usain Bolt Will Defend Sprint Titles at 2016 Rio Olympics Instead of Entering Long Jump or 400-Meter

The world's fastest man isn't done being that just yet.

Usain Bolt has announced that he will be returning to the 100- and 200-meter dash in the 2016 Rio Olympics, instead of entering new events like the long jump or 400-meter.

"To do the three [sprints], that is the focus. I don't want to try any different events at Rio," he said. "I will just defend my titles to show the world there's a possibility I can do it again."

Bolt, the two-time defending gold medalist in both sprints, won the 100-meter dash in 9.63 seconds at the London Olympics and the 200 in 19.32. He had floated the idea of trying out the long jump as something new or entering the longer, arguably more challenging, 400-meter race. However, it appears that keeping his title in the sprints will be challenge enough for the 26-year-old.
