Lance Armstrong, Manti Te’o Lead Forbes List of Most Disliked American Athletes (Photos)

The sports world has offered up plenty of candidates for pillory in recent weeks, and lucky for them, they got some egg on their faces just in time for the Forbes list.

While Forbes points out the most disliked athletes each year, this year’s list has some real whoppers thanks to the recent dismantling of the purported legends of Lance Armstrong and Manti Te’o. Those two join the usual big names in the “disliked” ranks — Tiger Woods, Alex Rodriguez and Michael Vick.

Time has healed some wounds, giving Ben Roethlisberger and Plaxico Burress a break after they each got a spot on the 2012 list with their sexual assault allegations and gun-related prison sentence, respectively, but the NFL still had a nice representation this year, taking three of the top 10 spots. In the NBA, Kris Humphries has faded from the haters’ focus, but one team has two members on the list this year (and no, it’s not the Heat).

See who made the list of America’s most vilified sports figures.
