The Bruins and Blackhawks lit the lamp 11 times Wednesday night, with the final tally giving Chicago a 6-5 win in an instant classic of a hockey game. The victory creates a best-of-three series for the Stanley Cup, as the two teams will enter Game 5 on Saturday tied at two games apiece.

The teams traded goals in the first period (from Michal Handzus and Rich Peverley) before combining for five in the second.

After Patrice Bergeron‘s second tally of the night tied the score at 4-4 just two minutes into the third period, Patrick Sharp struck on the power play to put Chicago ahead yet again. That lead would not last long, though, as Johnny Boychuk sent a rocket from the blue line past Corey Crawford less than a minute later to force overtime.

The squads went scoreless for nearly half of an extra session before Brent Seabrook beat Tuukka Rask with a slap shot to send the Blackhawks back to Chicago with a win in one of the most thrilling games of the postseason.
