John Harbaugh Tells President Obama Ravens Plan to Be Back at White House ‘Next Year, Too’ (Photo)

As you likely know, the Baltimore Ravens captured the Super Bowl back in February in the much-hyped “Haurbowl.” As is customary, the victorious team gets to visit the White House, and on Wednesday the Ravens made their (very short) trip to Washington D.C. to visit with President Barack Obama.

The handshake appearance was mostly typical of every time a championship team visits the president, but Ravens coach John Harbaugh showed his gumption even when meeting the most powerful man in the world.

“I want you to know we have plans to be here next year, too,” Harbaugh told Obama, according to The Baltimore Sun.

For his part, the president managed to get in at least one very pertinent joke. Pointing out the extension that quarterback Joe Flacco left on the table after the 2011 season, Obama drew a few laughs when he made a comment about the deal the now-Super Bowl MVP signed this offseason.

“Joe was named the game’s MVP,” Obama said. “Good timing with that contract, huh?”
