Brady Hoke Offers Ohio State-Michigan Tickets to 12-Year-Old Who Named His Cancer ‘Michigan’

The Ohio State-Michigan rivalry just got a little friendlier.

On Monday, Wolverines head coach Brady Hoke reached out to Grant Reed, the 12-year-old Ohio State fan who named his brain tumor “Michigan” and then, in true Buckeye fashion, beat it. Hoke called Grant and his family with some words of support and an offer no football fan could refuse.

Hoke offered the family four tickets to this season’s Michigan-Ohio State game, according to NBC4 in Columbus, Ohio.

“It’s getting hard to keep my dislike for them, because they’ve been so classy and unbelievable to us,” Grant’s father, Troy Reed told the station, “but it won’t be hard to cheer for the Buckeyes in November.”

Reed underwent his last chemotherapy session earlier this month.
