It’s a good thing Kyle Walker is so popular in the Tottenham Hotspur dressing room. Otherwise, his Halloween prank may not have gone down so well.
Walker marked the spookiest day of the year by frightening a few of his teammates. The 23-year-old (and a few Tottenham staffers) devised a plan in which his fellow Premier League players waited in a poorly-lit empty room. They thought they would be telling a television presenter about the scariest movie they had ever seen. Instead, Walker, dressed in a black cape and scary mask, would then walk up behind them — with predictable results.
Walker frightened most of his victims to their cores. Andros Townsend, Sandro, Jermain Defoe and Heurelho Gomes fell to the ground, while shaken striker Emmanuel Adebayor and coach Steffen Freund managed to remain on their feet. However, the Tottenham fullback’s prank didn’t scare Jan Vertonghen. The steely Belgian defender barely flinched, but that’s no great surprise.
