After rushing for just one touchdown and an average of 76 yards in his first six games of the season, a torn labrum suffered in Week 7 against the Falcons put Martin’s availability for the rest of the season in jeopardy.
On Friday, the Buccaneers put the 23-year-old running back on injured reserve, which will end his 2013 season.

Martin finishes the year with 456 rushing yards and a touchdown. He also caught 12 passes for 66 yards. The former Boise State star rose to prominence last year with 1,454 rush yards and 11 touchdowns as a rookie.
Tampa Bay has struggled with and without their No. 1 running back this season, and is one of two teams that still hasn’t won a game.
