Star Wars is becoming increasingly popular in sports. The Huntsville Havoc of the Southern Professional Hockey League officially have joined the party.
The Havoc became the latest team to host a Star Wars themed night Friday. Darth Vader participated in the ceremonial puck drop before the Havoc clashed with the Mississippi RiverKings.
The evening included appearances by Stormtroopers and a light-saber wielding mascot and featured a costume contest for fans, according to USA Today’s For the Win blog. The Havoc then made the night even more enjoyable for the home crowd by picking up a 4-2 victory.
