U.S. Could Be First Country To Win Medal On Every Day Of Winter Olympics

Team USA is taking the hashtag #NoDaysOff seriously at the 2014 Winter Olympics.

The U.S. is on its way to becoming the first nation to win an Olympic medal on every day of the Winter Games, according to NBC, thanks to some outstanding performances by its athletes. Snowboarder Sage Kotsenburg took home the first medal for Team USA — a gold, at that — on the first day of competition, and moguls skier Hannah Kearney grabbed bronze in her event the same first day.

Since Day One, Team USA has kept the streak alive, despite the fact that some of the country’s biggest names have underperformed (we’re looking at you, Shaun White).

The streak has included podium sweeps (ski slopestyle) and first-ever gold medals (ice dancing) for the U.S., and Team USA has medal prospects in each of the remaining days of competition, including Alpine skiing, men’s and women’s hockey, four-man bobsled and speedskating.
