Red Wings Score With 0.4 Seconds Remaining To Beat Penguins In OT (Video)

The Detroit Red Wings were on the outside of the Eastern Conference playoff picture entering Thursday night’s slate of games, but they earned two huge points with a last-second victory over the Pittsburgh Penguins at Joe Louis Arena.

With less than five seconds remaining in overtime, veteran winger Daniel Alfredsson skated into the attacking zone on a 3-on-1 for the last scoring chance of the game. He fired a wrist shot at Penguins goaltender Marc-Andre Fleury, who made the initial save, but the rebound bounced off a player in front of the net and crossed the goal line with 0.4 seconds on the clock.
