Craig Breslow Answers Fans’ Questions In MLB.com Chatting Cage (Video)

Boston Red Sox relief pitcher Craig Breslow joined MLB.com’s Edward Jones Chatting Cage on Friday and answered fans’ questions about how his career started, what he’d do if he didn’t play baseball and if we should be worried about his team’s slow start to the season.

“It’s probably too early to draw any conclusions in any direction,” Breslow said as the defending World Series champions entered Friday’s play with a 4-6 record. “… I think not until we’ve had maybe 50 or so games under our belts … only then can we start to determine what may be the barometer for success. But there’s no question that the 25 guys we have in the clubhouse have the expectation of winning and are as passionate and hungry as we were last year.”

Breslow also shared what it’s like to pitch to David Ortiz.

“It’s never a comfortable at-bat,” Breslow said. “The one in particular that I remember is a game-winning home run that he hit off of me to straightaway center a few years ago with Oakland. So fortunately he’s a teammate of mine and not one that I’ll have to face.”

See what else Breslow had to say in the video below.
